Memory used by each individual process

Hi,

I have searched around and couldn't find a definitive answer for my
question. How can I find out the amount of memory being consumed by
each individual process on a linux system (say SLES9). I have 2G of RAM
and I see only around 35MB free memory (as shown by top). Any help or
pointers to information would be highly appreciated. I am looking for
something, which says:

PID MEMORY or %USED

Thanks
Chandra

I doubt that the data would be useful. No if there is a way to know the
working sets, that would have value.

That just says that the system is finding use for otherwise unused memory.
Are there any signs of an actual shortage?
