Ob Nvidia oder Ati, DRI geht nie! ;-)

28/12/2007 - 16:38 von theodor | Report spam
Hallo,

ich habe ubuntu 7.10 installiert. Nachdem ich ewige Zeit damit verbracht
habe meiner Ati Radeon 9600 Direct Rendering beizubringen, habe ich
jetzt eine Nvidia 6200 installiert.

Ergebnis: Nüx!

direct rendering: No (If you want to find out why, try setting
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose)

Meine xorg.conf hat eigentlich alle was sie haben muss:

# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 1.0 (buildmeister@builder3) Wed Sep 12 14:29:35 PDT 2007

Wo ist das Problem? Das geht bei mir mir dem OpenSource-Radeon-Treiber von
Xorg und wahlweise auch mit dem fglrx-Treiber von AMD/ATI, wobei der
X-Server sofort abstürzt, wenn ich bei letzterem Transparenz in KDE
einschalte.

Load "glx"
Load "v4l"

Load "dri" vergessen? Bei mir (Radeon 9600) sieht das so aus:

Section "Module"
Load "dbe"
Load "type1"
Load "freetype"
Load "extmod"
Load "glx"
Load "dri"
EndSection

Section "DRI"
Group "video"
Mode 0660
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
EndSection
