Problem with SignaTel Audio

11/12/2007 - 02:02 von Grant Hardy | Report spam
Hey all,

I have a computer with an Intel D946GZIS motherboard and a SigmaTel Audio
sound card.

In the olden days of Windows XP, I had a "stereo mix" option available in my
Record Source list. So, for example, I could play some audio using Winamp,
speak into a microphone, and have both sources captured by a recording
application at the same time.

With Vista, there is no "Stereo mix," "What you hear," or any similar
functionality in my Record Source list under Sounds in the control panel on
the Recording tab, even if I right-click some blank space and check "Show
disabled devices."

I like Vista...but this is an essential feature for me. Any advice?

Cheers

Grant
