Hallo Peter,

1. Sind alle Updates installiert?
2. Ist Nero installiert?
3. Ist antiviren Soft drauf und welche?
4. Was sonst fuer anderes Soft ist drauf (vor allem TV und Video Soft,
codecs...)

- Fuehre das Media Center Setup neu aus.

oder führe die folgende Action Plans nach einander aus

Action Plan 1

Clean Boot
Let's disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This
method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program
or service. Please perform the following steps:
1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the
Start Search box, and then press Enter.
Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC)
window.

2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and
click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".

Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window
appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System
Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.

Note: Temporarily disabling the Startup Group only prevents the startup
programs from loading at startup. This should not affect the system or other
programs. We may still manually run these programs later.

How to return from the Clean Boot state
==1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the
Start Search box, and then press Enter.
Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC)
window.
2. On the "General" tab, click "Normal Startup - load all device drivers and
services".
3. Click OK. Click Restart when you are prompted to restart your computer.

If the issue persists in Clean Boot status, I suggest we slow the burn speed
of Windows Media Player and third party burning programs.

Slow the burn speed of Windows Media Player
==1. Launch Windows Media Player.
2. Press Alt, click Tools and Options.
3. Click Burn tab, and change the Burn speed to Slow.

If the issue persist, I suggest we uninstall all the third party burning
programs temporarily to check the issue, if we have the Installation media.
We can reinstall them after proving the cause are not them.

Uninstall third party burning programs
=1. Click Start and Control Panel.
2. Click Uninstall a program in Control Panel Home mode.
3. Highlight third party burning programs and click Uninstall.

Uninstall third party Plug-ins of Windows Media Player
=1. Launch Windows Media Player.
2. Press Alt, click Tools and Options.
3. Click Plug-ins tab, and remove all the third party Plug-ins.

Restart the computer to check the issue.

The System Information can provide us with more information about the
current status of the system. I would like to check it for you. Please send
it to me using the following steps:

1. Click the Start Button, type "MSINFO32" in the Search Bar and press Enter
to start the System Information.
2. On the popup window, on the menu bar, click "File", and click "Save",
type a file name and then choose NFO as "Save as type", click "Desktop" on
the left pane, and click Save.

Action Plan 2

Suggestion 1: Register DLL files
=To resolve this issue, please re-register jscript.dll, vbscript.dll and
wmp.dll using the following steps.

1. Close Windows Media Center and any other windows.
2. Click the Start Button, All Programs, and Accessories
3. Right click "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as administrator".
Note: Please click Continue if the User Account Control (UAC) window
prompts.
4. Type the following commands and press Enter after each line.

regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 wmp.dll
exit

After that, please start MCE and check if it can work properly. If the issue
persists, let's check if the MCE related services are running correctly.

Suggestion 2: Check the dependency services
1. Click the Start Button, type "services" (without quotation marks) in the
Search Bar and press Enter to start Services.

Note: System Configuration Utility requires administrative privileges,
please click "Continue" when the User Account Control dialog-box appear.

2. In the right pane, please check whether the following services have been
started and the startup type is Automatic:

Cryptographic Services
Portable Device Enumerator Service
Windows Audio
Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework

If not, please double click the service. In the "General" tab, make sure the
"Startup Type" is "Automatic". Then please click the button "Start" under
"Service Status" to start this service.

However, if the issue persists after trying the steps above, it may be a
more complicated issue. and the troubleshooting may be more time-consuming.
Your patience and efforts are appreciated. At this time please help collect
the following information for further research.

Remove the DVD-ROM drive
==1. Click the Start Button, type devmgmt.msc in the "Start Search" box and
press Enter.
2. Expand "DVD/CD-ROM drives".
3. Right click the DVD-ROM drive, and click "Uninstall".

Then, please restart the computer. Does the DVD-ROM work properly now?

If the issue persists, let us also try to create a new administrator account
to test the issue.

Create a new user account
=1. Click Start Menu, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click switch to a Classic View in left panel.
3. Double-click User Accounts.
4. Click Change another use account.
5. Click Create a new account, and type the name.
6. Choose account type as Computer administrator.
7. Click Create Account.
8. Log off and log on with the new account.

Action Plan 3

System File Checker
=1. Click "Start", type "CMD" (without quotation marks) in "Start Search"
box, right click CMD and click "Run as administrator".
2. Type "SFC /Scannow" (without quotation marks) in the "Open" box, and
click "OK".

Note: There is a space between "SFC" and "/Scannow".

If the issue persists, I also suggest we perform a Device Clean Boot to
check the issue.

Please unplug all unnecessary devices to test your computer's performance.
In this situation, your system will only have the basic hardware devices and
it should be more stable.

If it is inconvenient to unplug the devices, we can disable them in Device
Manager. Please refer to the following steps:

1. Click "Start", type "DEVMGMT.MSC" in the Search textbox and press Enter.
Please click "Allow" if the User Account Control window is prompted.
2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
3. Right click on your Sound Card, select "Properties"
4. Click "Driver" tab, click Disable (Disable the selected device). Click OK
5. Please use the same method to disable other hardware such as: Modem,
network card, CD-R drive. Please note some devices such as video adapter are
not available to be disabled.
