why is my system tray (if you may call it that) just moved to the left?

Sorry, I am an old-fashioned command-line guy, but sometimes you have to
live with kDE.

Now, all of a sudden my "system tray" (I call it that because that is what
it would be called in Windows, not that I know that very well-- I mean the
part with icons you can click on to run certain programs, and that holds my
calender-- sorry, I have no way to know what you call it under KDE-- I can
only give a description of what I see), well, my so-called system tray has
suddenly moved to the left. No idea, why, no idea what it means, no idea how
to move it back...

Well, I guess I am not intuitive enough... could you recommend me another
windows manager? I want to use things like Kmail, Kdm, Openoffice, Firefox,
Kalarm, KNotes, but for the rest I don't care.

And of course if you can just tell me how to find things in KDE: I only know
Help, and that has not been quite helpful, so far...

For instance, how do you seek for something like (insert the problem
description above)?

Just top follow up-- I just found out that at least part of my so-called
"system tray" is also called "system tray" in KDE I can click on it, and
then I can shift it to its "right" position, great... and then I let it go,
and it just shifts back. Just like Microsoft, indeed...
